The main operator of ports in Morocco, Marsa Maroc, has bought three rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Kalmar for its TC3 container terminal in Casablanca.

TC3 will soon have has a total of 14 RTGs working at the port in Morocco

TC3 was established in 2015 to modernise the Port of Casablanca, and is Marsa Maroc鈥檚 first terminal with Kalmar RTGs. The three new RTGs will join eleven others delivered to Marsa Maroc in 2016 and 2018. The fleet also includes Kalmar terminal tractors, straddle carriers and empty container handlers.

The order, which includes an option for an additional two cranes, was booked in Cargotec鈥檚 Q3 2020 order intake. Delivery is scheduled for Q2 2021.
